Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of sanctum-chamber.net (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required to consent to data processing in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to create an account or use any account-required feature.

2. The service

The Site offers, among other things, real-time chat rooms, long-form blogs, in-site games (including Canasta, Chess, Checkers, Video Poker, Four Colors, and Wheel), and the Janice conversational assistant. Features and availability may change without notice.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. One account per person, and you may not impersonate others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User conduct

You agree not to:

  • post content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, to other users’ accounts, or to our infrastructure;
  • use automated tools (bots, scrapers) on the Site without our prior written consent;
  • interfere with the operation of in-site games, including via automated assistance, exploits, or collusion;
  • attempt to abuse, manipulate, or extract training data from Janice or any other on-site automated system.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, edit, or remove any content for any reason.

5. User content

You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting content, you grant Sanctum Chamber a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Site. You represent that you have the right to post any content you submit.

6. VIP and donations

Certain features may be designated as “VIP” or require donation-supported access. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable. We make no guarantee that any specific feature will remain available, free, or paid.

7. Disclaimers

The Site and all features are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Janice’s responses are generated by third-party language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate; treat them as informational only and do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

8. Third-party content and links

The Site may display advertisements served by third parties (see the Privacy Policy) and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third party.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Sanctum Chamber, its operators, or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising from or related to your use of the Site.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective date”. Continued use of the Site after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
